Report.. Trump Administration Moves Forward with Gaza Plan Despite Netanyahu's Objection

SadaNews - Axios revealed that the administration of President Donald Trump is proceeding with the second phase of the Gaza agreement despite the objections of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

A senior American official told Axios, referring to Netanyahu: "This is our offer, not his. We have accomplished in Gaza over the past months things that no one expected, and we will continue to make progress."

Netanyahu issued an unusual statement in which he protested against the "Executive Council" for Gaza, which was appointed by the White House on Friday.

Netanyahu said: "There was no coordination with Israel regarding this announcement, and it contradicts its policy. The Prime Minister has directed the Foreign Minister to raise this issue with the American Secretary of State."

The committee, which reports to the Peace Council headed by Trump, includes the Turkish Foreign Minister and a high-ranking Qatari official, although Netanyahu insists that these two countries have no role in managing Gaza.

A senior American official clarified that Netanyahu was not consulted regarding the committee's membership because he has no opinion on this matter.

He added: "If he wants us to deal with Gaza, it will be according to our approach. We negotiated with him. Let him focus on Iran, and we will deal with Gaza. We will not argue with him. He will pursue his policy, and we will continue to move forward with our plan. He cannot really oppose us."

The official indicated that unless Netanyahu wishes to redeploy Israeli forces to fight in Gaza, with the United States withdrawing from this issue, he will have to agree to the American program, adding: "We are doing him a favor. If it fails, he will say: We warned you. And we know that if it succeeds, he will take credit for it himself."

The American official noted that despite Netanyahu's deep skepticism regarding the success of the American plan, he appreciates its content.

The official said: "No one in Israel thought we would reach this stage, but we managed to do so."

American officials revealed that Hamas has secretly indicated its willingness to accept the American disarmament plan and begin the disarmament process, stating that the next sixty days will be dedicated to speeding up this process.
