Health Developments of Artist Mohy Ismail Following Stroke and Coma

SadaNews - The health condition of Egyptian artist Mohy Ismail has continued to evolve over the past few days following a complex health crisis that required his transfer between several hospitals for intensive medical care, under the supervision of the Actors' Syndicate.

The crisis began nearly two weeks ago when the son of the artist's sister received a call from neighbors informing him that he had vanished and had not been seen since the morning hours inside his apartment. After receiving no response to knocks on the door, it was broken down, and he was found in his bedroom in a state of severe malaise. An ambulance was called to transport him to the hospital.

Medical examinations at that time revealed that he had suffered a stroke that necessitated urgent intervention and monitoring. His health condition later deteriorated due to heart issues and a sharp rise in blood sugar levels, leading him to fall into a coma, which required him to be placed on heart and respiratory support machines in the intensive care unit for several days.

With his health condition not stabilizing in the hospital where he was receiving treatment, the Actors' Syndicate, chaired by artist Ashraf Zaki, intervened and transferred him to another hospital, before later moving him to a third hospital to provide more specialized medical care.

His health condition has seen a relative improvement in recent days, as his blood sugar levels have decreased, and he has responded to treatment, allowing him to be moved from the intensive care unit to a private room at his request, following the necessary medical procedures to ensure his safety.

Despite this improvement, his condition remains semi-stable, necessitating his continued medical care in the hospital in the coming period, especially since he lives alone, which requires careful monitoring in anticipation of any potential health complications.

Mohy Ismail is considered one of the most prominent stars of cinema and theater in Egypt, renowned for portraying complex psychological roles. He has left a distinctive artistic mark through dozens of works that have established his name as one of the unique symbols of acting in the history of Egyptian art.
