Sheikh Discusses Latest Political Developments in Palestinian Territories with Egyptian Officials
SadaNews - The Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Sheikh, met today in Cairo in separate meetings with the Director of Egyptian Intelligence, Hassan Rad, and the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel-Atif, in the presence of the Director of General Intelligence, Majed Farraj.
During the meetings, they discussed ways to stabilize security in all Palestinian territories and advance towards the second phase of President Trump's plan and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, as well as enhancing coordination and consultation to face the challenges in Palestine and the region.
For his part, the Egyptian Foreign Minister reaffirmed Egypt's consistent position supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, emphasizing the importance of transitioning to the requirements of the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan, continuing efforts to ensure the flow of humanitarian and relief assistance, and creating suitable conditions for moving towards a just political settlement of the Palestinian cause in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions, thereby supporting the path to early recovery and reconstruction.
