Gaza Health Ministry Issues Clarification on Leptospirosis Infections
SadaNews - The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip confirmed on Saturday that several cases suspected of having Leptospirosis have been detected.
The ministry stated in a statement that these cases were dealt with according to the approved protocols, and necessary samples were taken and sent for testing in specialized laboratories outside the Gaza Strip.
It indicated that all laboratory test results have come back negative, and to date, there are no confirmed cases of this disease recorded in the Gaza Strip, firmly denying the circulating reports about confirmed infections.
The ministry emphasized that it is the only official entity authorized to announce any epidemic outbreak, calling on medical institutions and the media to exercise accuracy and responsibility in disseminating information.
The ministry reassured that preventive health teams are continuing their work around the clock to monitor the health situation, and any updates will be announced through official channels.
