Jericho Court Sentences Convicted Drug Trafficker to 15 Years of Life Imprisonment
SadaNews - The Jericho Court of First Instance issued a ruling today, Wednesday, convicting (W.K.) of possessing narcotic substances or plants producing such substances for the purpose of trafficking, in accordance with Article 6/2 of Law No. 26 of 2018 amending Law No. 18 of 2015 on the Prevention of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances.
The court sentenced him to life imprisonment for a period of 15 years and imposed a financial penalty of 15,000 Jordanian dinars, in addition to confiscating and destroying the seized narcotic substances.
This sentence is based on the investigations conducted by the Public Prosecution in Jericho and the evidence and pleas presented before the court, after the case was referred in accordance with legal procedures.
