Semiconductor Sales Expected to Exceed One Trillion Dollars by 2026
SadaNews Economy - Bank of America has projected that global semiconductor sales will surpass the one trillion dollar mark by 2026, driven by the ongoing wave of artificial intelligence led by companies Nvidia and Broadcom.
Market analyst at the bank, Vivek Arya, confirmed in a recent report that the artificial intelligence boom is still ongoing and gaining strength, with global sales expected to rise by 30 percent year-on-year in the coming year.
Arya explained that the sector is still in the midst of a strategic transformation that began a decade ago, noting that major companies with strong market shares and high profit margins will be the biggest beneficiaries of this development.
The report highlighted leading companies such as Nvidia, Broadcom, Lam Research, along with KLA Systems, Analog Devices, and Cadence Design Systems as the primary driving forces behind this exceptional growth.
The bank's report emphasized that investments by major tech companies in artificial intelligence data centers are not merely a luxury, but a necessary step to maintain their competitive edge in the global market.
The bank's market analyst believes that the substantial returns on these investments are gradually becoming clear with the accelerated expansion of the infrastructure for this emerging technology, thereby enhancing confidence in the sustainability of sector growth in the coming years.
