Confirming what "SadaNews" Exclusively Reported.. The United States is Considering Hosting a Conference on the Reconstruction of Gaza

SadaNews - According to reports from "Bloomberg" news agency, citing informed sources, the United States and its allies are renewing their efforts to hold a conference on the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, amidst the Trump administration's attempt to give new momentum to the ceasefire agreement between Israel and "Hamas".

Sources stated that Washington has been considered as a potential venue for the conference, which could be held as early as next month, and that Egypt is among several other locations under consideration.

This comes as a confirmation of what "SadaNews" reported at the beginning of this month regarding the possibility of holding the conference in the United States instead of Egypt.

A source told Bloomberg that the conference is unlikely to take place until officials complete the formation of the "Peace Council" led by Trump, which is set to supervise the transitional government under the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and "Hamas" in October.

"Bloomberg" noted that U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff met with officials from Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar in Florida over the weekend to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire.

It added that the conference is part of a broader effort to maintain the momentum of the peace plan proposed by the U.S. president, which consists of 20 points and is divided into two phases. The first phase aims to stop the fighting and secure the release of Israeli hostages, while the second, and more difficult, phase involves transitioning to long-term governance in Gaza, disarming "Hamas", and forming an international force to stabilize the region.

"Bloomberg" reported that U.S. officials acknowledged the difficulties of the second phase, as the Peace Council faces numerous questions, starting from defining its members, and the international stabilization force has not yet been established, while one of the toughest tasks in the second phase might be the disarmament of "Hamas".

Representatives from the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey agreed during a meeting held in Miami, Florida, on Friday to proceed with the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, after assessing the achievements of the first phase, which includes enhancing humanitarian aid, reducing combat activities, and preparing arrangements for governance, reconstruction, and regional integration, according to a joint statement.

The U.S. envoy stated on the "X" platform: "We, the representatives of the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, held a meeting yesterday (Friday) in Miami to review the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire in Gaza and move forward with preparations for the second phase."

He added: "The first phase has made progress that includes expanding the scope of humanitarian aid, returning the bodies of hostages, partial troop withdrawals, along with reducing the level of combat activities."
