Abu Rudeineh: The International Community and the U.S. Administration Must Stop Aggression and Settlement

SadaNews - Nabil Abu Rudeineh, the official spokesman for the Palestinian presidency, stated that the international community must put an end to the continuous Israeli settlement violations, which challenge international legitimacy and law, the latest of which is the announcement of the construction of 19 new settlements in the West Bank in blatant violation of relevant UN resolutions.

Abu Rudeineh added in a press statement that we also demand the international community, especially the United States, to pressure the occupying authorities to force them to allow humanitarian aid, including ready-made houses and tents, into the Gaza Strip to stop the worsening suffering of displaced citizens, amid the harsh weather conditions the region is experiencing, and the dilapidated tents that are already flooded. He emphasized the necessity of opening crossings and expediting the urgent entry of aid, as well as lifting the obstacles imposed by the occupation on UNRWA to carry out its duties towards our people, in accordance with international legitimacy and the resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly.

Abu Rudeineh warned about the dangers of the destruction occurring in Gaza and what the occupying army is doing by continuously assaulting Palestinian cities, villages, and camps, demolishing houses in the West Bank camps, and displacing their residents, in addition to the systematic terrorism carried out by settlers, which is embodied in killing citizens, burning properties, and uprooting trees, which will destroy all available opportunities, whether local or international, amid wars that have lost all feasibility.

The official spokesman for the presidency stressed that matters have become more dangerous, complicated, and intertwined, which requires effective American intervention so that any vision for achieving stability can succeed according to President Trump's peace and stability plan.

Abu Rudeineh continued that the destructive Israeli policies against any international efforts being made to stop violence and escalation require serious work to maintain international legitimacy and international law, which the occupying authorities insist on ignoring and challenging the international desire to achieve peace according to international law, as expressed in the ongoing periodic meetings of the UN Security Council.

Abu Rudeineh concluded, stating that the deeper meaning of the Palestinian constants and the official legitimacy seeking to preserve Jerusalem and its sacred sites, as well as the unity of the Palestinian land in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, primarily East Jerusalem, remains paramount.
