Getafe in Spain Celebrates Civil Defense Anniversary and Honors Palestinian Civil Defense
SadaNews - This morning, Saturday, November 22, the municipality of Getafe in Spain held an official ceremony marking the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of Civil Defense. During the ceremony, the Palestinian Civil Defense was honored in appreciation of its significant sacrifices and heroic role in saving lives despite limited tools and equipment.
The honor was received by His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Spain, Mr. Hosni Abd al-Wahid, in the presence of the Governor of Madrid, the Mayor and members of the Getafe City Council, in addition to prominent political figures, in a scene that reflects recognition of the national and humanitarian role of this Palestinian institution.
