The Occupation Army Begins Extensive Military Exercises in the West Bank and Jordan Valley Today
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army announced that it will begin extensive military exercises throughout the West Bank and the Palestinian Jordan Valley along the border with Jordan for a period of 3 days starting this morning.
It added - in a brief statement - that the exercises will involve intense movement of troops and military vehicles in the areas of operations.
The exercises are expected to simulate several scenarios, primarily providing protection for Israeli settlements and responding to any attacks that may target them.
These maneuvers come after Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir recently retracted his decision to start reducing the number of Israeli troops in the occupied West Bank following protests from the more extreme wing of the government against it.
