The Occupation Army Rejects a US Plan for Distributing Aid Inside Gaza for Fear of It Reaching Hamas
SadaNews - Yesterday, the Israeli occupation army discussed a US proposal to establish 16 points for distributing humanitarian aid within the main cities of the Gaza Strip, with trucks arriving from Israel and Egypt when the Rafah crossing is opened.
According to the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz, after studying the plan, the army expressed its reservations, confirming that there is no effective mechanism to prevent aid from reaching the Hamas movement, as long as distribution occurs within cities and is supervised by international entities.
This stance comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several cabinet ministers requested that the army ensure Hamas does not benefit from the aid in any form and to tighten oversight on the distribution mechanism to ensure it reaches civilians only.
