Attacks by Settlers in Various Areas of Ramallah

SadaNews - Settlers attacked citizens today, Friday, while they were picking olives in the town of Singel, north of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that the settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, attacked the citizens and forced them to leave their lands at gunpoint, while detaining several activists.

Meanwhile, settlers were grazing their sheep in the plains of the village of al-Mughair, east of Ramallah.

Local sources explained that the settlers grazed their sheep on lands close to the Khalail area, near the residents' homes, and deliberately cut branches of olive trees in the area and vandalized them.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, its teams recorded a total of 259 attacks against olive pickers since the beginning of October until this moment, where the occupation army carried out 41 cases of assault, while the settlers executed 218.

During the annual olive-picking season, the Palestinian territories are subjected to repeated assaults by settlers and the occupation army, and farmers constantly face assaults and violations that prevent them from reaching their lands, leading to significant material losses and increasing their daily suffering under occupation.

Since October 7, 2023, settlers have carried out a total of 7,154 attacks against citizens and their properties, resulting in the martyrdom of 33 citizens in the West Bank.

The assaults by the occupation and its settlers have also led to uprooting, destroying, and damaging a total of 48,728 trees, including 37,237 olive trees, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
