Morocco Wins Youth World Cup for the First Time
SadaNews - Morocco won the Youth World Cup for football 2025 held in Chile on Monday morning, after Yasser Zabiri scored two goals in the first half, leading his country to a 2-0 victory over Argentina in the final.
This global title is the first for the Moroccan national team and also the first achievement in the history of Arab participation in various football championships organized by the FIFA.
With this victory, Morocco became the first Arab country to win the Youth World Cup and the second African country after Ghana, which won the title in 2009.
Yasser Zabiri, a player of the Moroccan youth national team, scored the first goal from a direct free kick into the net of Argentina in the 12th minute.
Zabiri then scored the second goal against the Tango in the 29th minute, topping the tournament's scoring leaderboard with a total of five goals.
