He explained in a meeting with journalists today, Thursday, that the first phase will last six months and is allocated 3.5 billion dollars, followed by a second phase lasting three years at a cost of 30 billion dollars, while the third phase requires 67 billion dollars to complete.
Mustafa confirmed that "there is no internal Palestinian conflict over governance in Gaza," pointing out that there are existing agreements, and that "the Palestinian side will not be an obstacle to managing the affairs of the sector." He emphasized the importance of having a single Palestinian government representing the entire Palestinian people, stating: "We affirm our aspiration to establish an independent Palestinian state, and our belief in the necessity of having a single Palestinian government."
He indicated that the executive programs are ready, and that the commencement is contingent on the availability of a supportive environment, especially in terms of logistics and security. He added that the reconstruction conference will address funding, while political follow-ups will handle security and governance issues.
He said: "No matter the challenges and difficulties, addressing Gaza's relief and reconstruction and linking the institutions there to the government in the West Bank is a national necessity that we will work to achieve in cooperation with our Arab brothers and international supporters."
