Exclusive sources to SadaNews: Sheikh to discuss with Blair tomorrow in Jordan the role of the Palestinian Authority in the upcoming phase in Gaza

Exclusive to SadaNews - Palestinian Vice President Hussein Sheikh is scheduled to meet tomorrow in Jordan with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, according to special sources for "SadaNews."

The same sources added that the meeting will discuss the role of the Palestinian Authority in the upcoming phase in the Gaza Strip.

A Peace Council to Administer Gaza

The peace plan unveiled by the White House on Monday to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip includes the establishment of a "Peace Council" led by U.S. President Donald Trump, and includes former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in an unspecified role.

Trump's proposal for peace in Gaza states: "Gaza will be governed by a Palestinian temporary committee of non-political technocrats," although it does not name any Palestinian or Palestinian group that may participate in the transitional phase.

The committee will be overseen by a new international transitional body called the "Peace Council," which will be chaired by Trump and include heads of states and other members, including Blair.

The committee will be responsible for the day-to-day management of public services and municipal affairs in Gaza, and will consist of "qualified Palestinians and unidentified international experts," noting that Hamas will have no role in governing Gaza.

This group will set the framework and finance the redevelopment of Gaza until the Palestinian Authority undergoes significant reforms.

Trump's economic development plan for rebuilding Gaza will be established through a committee of experts "who helped create some of the modern miracle cities flourishing in the Middle East," and a special economic zone will be established with preferential tariff rates and entry fees negotiated with participating countries.

The plan states that some investment proposals and ideas have been formulated by unspecified international groups.
