Palestine Embassy in Iraq Distributes "Rent Compensation" Grant to 300 Refugee Families
SadaNews: The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Iraq distributed a financial grant for "rent compensation" to 300 families of Palestinian refugees in Iraq, following the instructions of President Mahmoud Abbas, and with the support of the Department of Refugee Affairs in the Palestine Liberation Organization.
The Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Iraq, Ahmad Al-Rwaidi, stated that the grant covered the largest number possible of needy families among Palestinian refugees in Iraq, selected by a joint committee between the embassy and the Palestinian Popular Committee in Iraq, and included families of Palestinian refugees from all Iraqi governorates.
Ambassador Al-Rwaidi noted that the distribution of the grant is part of the Palestinian leadership's concern for improving the conditions of refugees, which includes ongoing communication with Iraqi officials to enact laws and decisions that contribute to enhancing their temporary residency conditions in the brotherly Iraq, pointing out that the Iraqi government has confirmed in several meetings its efforts to improve their situation.
