Closure of Munich Airport and Suspension of Flights After Drone Sighted Above It
SadaNews - The German police announced early on Friday morning the cancellation of about 20 flights at Munich Airport on Thursday evening due to the sighting of drones.
The police stated that several individuals had seen a drone near the airport, which was later observed above the airport grounds.
Initially, it was unclear whether the drone was a single one or multiple drones.
As a precautionary measure, the police said that the airport runways were closed late Thursday evening.
Teams from both local and federal police conducted a search of the area for drones and suspicious individuals, but found nothing.
