Palestinian Network of NGOs: The American Administration Confirms Its Bias Towards Israel and Adopts Its Vision for Liquidating the Palestinian Cause
SadaNews - The Palestinian Network of NGOs stated in a statement issued today, Wednesday, that "as recent developments confirm, most notably the so-called 'Trump Plan' for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the absolute American bias towards Israel continues. In light of the ongoing genocide being perpetrated by the occupation against our people, the Palestinian Network of NGOs expresses its following position:
(The following is the text of the statement that SadaNews received a copy of)
"The network, while welcoming any effort leading to an immediate and permanent ceasefire that ends the ongoing genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip, warns that the currently proposed American plan is nothing but a complete endorsement of the Israeli narrative and project, representing Netanyahu's success in forcing Trump to modify the plan agreed upon with Arab and Islamic countries to fully suit Israeli demands. This plan does not provide any guarantees for ending the genocide or for halting the colonial settlement project; rather, it is merely a re-deployment of the occupation forces and a rearrangement of the mechanisms of killing and destruction, aimed at maintaining Israeli control over the Gaza Strip for decades to come."
"The plan... aims, by completely separating the Gaza Strip from the West Bank, to tear apart the geographical and political fabric of the Palestinian people, without providing any real guarantees for establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, or achieving liberation from the yoke of occupation, or even to stop the ongoing machinery of genocide.
Presenting the plan in this form and threatening continued genocide and displacement if it is rejected is a political extortion of a people suffering under occupation. Hence, we call upon all factions and coalitions of our people to national unity and to present a unified response that aligns with the level of risks posed, ensuring a genuine cessation of the crimes of genocide and daily killing and guaranteeing our people's right to freedom, return, and independence.
The Palestinian Network of NGOs reaffirms that the primary responsibility resting on the international community, especially influential countries, is to work towards dismantling the entire system of colonialism and genocide and the Israeli apartheid regime, not its management or reordering. Their duty mandates them to protect the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is the right of refugees to return to their homes and properties from which they were displaced, and the right to self-determination.
In this context, and recognizing the need for an effective international mechanism to achieve justice and accountability, the proposed Colombia Initiative before the United Nations General Assembly under the "Uniting for Peace" resolution remains the viable international initiative that provides a practical framework ensuring that the Israeli government and its allies comply with international law and international legitimacy decisions, putting an end to their impunity and ensuring the protection of the Palestinian people from the Israeli system of killing and persecution.
We call on all countries of the world and its living forces to reject any projects aimed at recycling the occupation and re-packaging it, and we urge them to support the legal and political course that guarantees the rights of our people and represents the free will of the Palestinian people in freedom and independence."
