Barham inaugurates two schools in Hebron Governorate and inspects several of its schools

SadaNews - Today, Sunday, Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Amjad Barham inaugurated the Mliha Shawar Basic School for Girls in the Hebron Education Directorate, with a generous donation of about three million dollars from Ayman Shawar.

Participating in the inauguration ceremony were Hebron Deputy Governor Taisir Al-Fakhouri, Assistant Undersecretary for Student Affairs Sadiq Al-Khadour, Director General of Supervision Mohamed Salem, the donor for the school's construction Ayman Shawar, along with representatives from local institutions, the unified parents' council, and others.

In this context, Barham expressed his pride in this educational and scientific achievement, considering that this school is not just walls, but a space of hope where the ambitions of future generations are built, praising the spirit of cooperation between the ministry and the local community.

For his part, Al-Fakhouri praised the role of the Ministry of Education and the initiative of the Shawar family, emphasizing that education is the most potent weapon in reinforcing the steadfastness of our people; noting that the opening of this school reflects a living model of the integration between the government and the local community.

Meanwhile, Shawar expressed his pride in contributing to supporting education, affirming that this school is a gift for its students and our people in this region, announcing his donation to build a floor for the school to be designated for vocational and technical education programs to serve the city of Hebron, acknowledging the local need for professional specializations and the ministry's direction in this regard.

In his speech, the Director General of Hebron Education, Atef Al-Jamal, confirmed the true partnership between education and the local community to enhance the educational system in Hebron schools, thanking all supporters of education, especially mentioning Quds Studio for its attention to covering educational matters in Hebron.

In her welcoming speech, the school principal Dunya Al-Zaatari expressed her happiness with the school's inauguration, which will serve the area's female students and provide them with a suitable educational environment. The event included the unveiling of an artistic mural.
In a related context, Barham began his tour by visiting the Al-Yaqoubiyya Basic School for Girls; he participated in the morning assembly activities and inspected the educational process at the school, and school bags were distributed to the female students, supported by the Zakat Committee of Hebron.

In the northern Hebron Directorate, Barham inaugurated the Abdel Qader Al-Qadi Vocational School in the town of Soreef, funded by the sons of the late Abdel Qader Al-Qadi at a value of one and a half million dinars; the ministry contributed to external works with support amounting to about 350 thousand dollars, serving more than 200 students.

In this regard, Barham emphasized the importance of inaugurating this new scientific edifice that reflects the spirit of current development and the ministry's effective efforts, especially in enhancing vocational and technical education, as reflected in the "Education for Development" plan, encouraging enrollment in vocational and technical specializations, expanding the circle of those joining this strategic sector, and providing all available means to support this purposeful direction, lauding the donation of the Al-Qadi family that reflects the authenticity of the Palestinian and their genuine commitment to support education.

For his part, Hebron Governor Khaled Doudin stressed the necessity of moving forward in the process of building and developing, highlighting the noble admirable examples that donate and build and support despite the destruction caused by the occupation, directing greetings to the families and the educational community and donors for their resilience against difficult conditions and the daily violations imposed by the occupation.

In his speech on behalf of the Al-Qadi family, Samir Arar expressed his pride in this important project that reflects the authenticity of the Al-Qadi family and their interest in education through the establishment of the school and other supporting efforts.

For his part, Deputy Mayor Ziad Abu Fara emphasized these achievements that are realized with the support of philanthropists and the follow-up of the ministry and municipality, calling for investing every effort to support the vocational and technical education journey, which is a primary entry point for building institutions and serving students in the future.

In turn, school director Eng. Ibrahim Abu Fara delivered a speech confirming that this new scientific edifice reflects a modern vision of the Ministry of Education and will meet the needs of students.

The events were attended by Secretary of the Hebron North District Hani Jara, Assistant Undersecretary Al-Khadour, General Director of North Hebron Education Bashar Jibr, and Director of Hebron Education Atef Al-Jamal, General Director of Supervision Mohamed Salem, and representatives from governmental and civil institutions.

The tour also included a visit to the surrounding area of Amr Ibn Al-As School to learn about the external environment surrounding it.
