SadaNews - Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, this evening, Thursday.
Intense explosions were heard in various areas of the Yemeni capital.
According to Yemeni sources, the Israeli planes carried out heavy fire belts.
A correspondent for the Hebrew Channel Reshet Kan reported that the naval and air forces executed the operation in Yemen.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that his forces carried out strong and decisive attacks against Houthi targets.
Katz added, as translated by SadaNews: The Israeli army attacked several military camps, including a camp for the Houthi General Staff, killing dozens of them and destroying storage facilities for drones and weapons.
An Israeli security source stated that approximately 65 bombs were dropped on Houthi targets, with more than 15 aircraft participating in the operation.
The Israeli army noted that among the targets attacked were: the command headquarters of the Houthi General Staff, complexes of security and intelligence apparatuses affiliated with the Houthi regime, the headquarters of the Houthi military media department, and military camps where weapons and other military elements were identified in Sanaa.
This comes a day after about 20 Israelis were injured, some of them seriously, as a result of a drone explosion in a tourist area in Eilat.
