Reports: Hamas Offers Trump a Ceasefire and Exchange Deal via Qatar

SadaNews - The American network Fox News revealed today, Monday, citing two sources, that the Hamas movement drafted a special message directed to U.S. President Donald Trump, which includes a proposal for a temporary ceasefire lasting 60 days, in exchange for the release of half the Israeli prisoners.

According to the network, Hamas delivered this message to the State of Qatar, with Doha set to transfer it to Trump during this week.

In a related context, Axios and Channel 12 reported, citing an informed source, that Hamas leaders have not yet signed the message directed to Trump, but this could happen in the coming days.

The source added that the movement believes reaching a comprehensive deal is currently impossible, and it prefers to return to partial agreements as a first step toward understandings.

The message from Hamas to Trump stated, according to a source for i24NEWS, "We are ready to release half of the hostages in exchange for a guarantee of a ceasefire for 60 days, and as long as negotiations continue to end the war, the ceasefire will continue."

The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip continues on its 716th day amid acts of genocide and crimes of ethnic cleansing, as Israeli forces force residents to flee from the city of Gaza and its north toward the south.

The toll of victims of the Israeli genocide against the Gaza Strip has risen since October 7, 2023, to 65,344 martyrs and 166,795 injured, according to what the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced today, Monday, noting that since the resumption of the war on March 18, 2025, 12,785 martyrs have risen and 54,754 others have been injured.
