Polish Air Defenses Raise Readiness Due to Drone Activity in Border Areas with Ukraine
SadaNews - The operational command of the Polish forces announced that the Polish army has deployed its aircraft due to drone activity in the border areas shared with Ukraine.
The operational command of the Polish forces stated in a statement: "Due to the risk of drone attacks in the Ukrainian border areas adjacent to the Republic of Poland, military aviation has begun operations in our airspace. To ensure the safety of our airspace, the commander of operations in the Polish armed forces has activated all necessary measures. Polish aircraft and their allies are operating in the airspace, and the ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have reached the highest level of readiness."
It noted that the operation is precautionary in nature and aims to ensure security.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk alleged last Wednesday that his forces shot down "dangerous" drones over Poland, claiming they were "Russian," without providing any evidence.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also denied carrying out strikes on Polish territory using drones, indicating that its strikes were limited to Ukrainian military targets.
