Two Demonstrations in Morocco in Support of the Resilience Fleet and Rejection of Gaza Genocide
SadaNews - Hundreds of Moroccans demonstrated in the cities of Tetouan and Casablanca (north) last Wednesday evening, in support of the global resilience fleet, and in rejection of the genocide and starvation perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for the past two years.
The demonstrations were called by the "Moroccan Authority for Supporting the Issues of the Nation" (a non-governmental organization), and were attended by activists, human rights advocates, and citizens from various backgrounds.
Demonstrators expressed their support for the global resilience fleet, which has been attacked twice by drone strikes and is scheduled to depart from Tunisia to the Gaza Strip today, Thursday.
Participants in the demonstrations raised slogans calling for an end to the genocide and famine in besieged Gaza.
Protesters chanted slogans including "A Moroccan salute to the resilient Gaza," "From Morocco to Palestine, one people not two," "Palestine resists," "Gaza is being destroyed," and "No to starvation."
The fleet consists of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the Global Gaza Movement, the Resilience Convoy, and the "Solidarity Nusantara" organization from Malaysia, and includes hundreds of activists from over 40 countries.
With U.S. support, Israel has committed genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including murder, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop.
This genocide has resulted in 64,656 martyrs and 163,503 injured Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, over 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine that has claimed the lives of 404 Palestinians, including 141 children.
