Palestinian Security Arrests Businessman Samir Halilah
SadaNews - The Palestinian security forces arrested Palestinian businessman Samir Halilah on Wednesday evening.
Security sources told "SadaNews" that Halilah was arrested from a café in the city of Ramallah.
The sources or official bodies did not clarify the reasons for the arrest.
Halilah's name has recently been prominent in Arab and international media after it was reported that the United States is considering him as a candidate for the governorship of the Gaza Strip.
While Halilah was trying to confirm in media interviews that he works in coordination with the Palestinian Authority, the latter denied this in several previous statements.
