A Delegation from the Palestinian Consumer Association Visits the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization
SadaNews - A delegation from the Cooperative Consumer Association for Palestinian Public Employees, headed by Bassam Zakarneh, the president of the association, and including Mr. Faisal Attari, the treasurer, visited the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization, where they were received by Dr. Hussein Mohammed Al-Shibli, the Secretary-General of the organization.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Jordanian charity organization for "its efforts in supporting Palestinians, especially in the Gaza Strip, thanks to the direct guidance from King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, who leads a steadfast and authentic stance in favor of Palestine," the delegation told the organization.
The Secretary-General, Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, confirmed that "the organization closely monitors the conditions of Palestinians in various areas and continuously works to provide humanitarian and relief support, pointing out that the Palestinian cause has a permanent priority in the organization's work and projects."
Zakarneh also provided a detailed presentation on the difficult conditions faced by Palestinian employees, indicating that employees in the West Bank have not received their salaries for nearly eight months due to financial crises and the freezing of clearance funds, while employees in the Gaza Strip face severe difficulties in receiving parts of their salaries due to the disruption of banking operations, in addition to the exploitation of these circumstances by Israeli traders who impose unjust deductions on what reaches the employees.
The delegation expressed hope that this visit would be a step towards enhancing the partnership with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization in the areas of training, supporting humanitarian projects, and exchanging experiences to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian employees and strengthen solidarity between the Palestinian and Jordanian peoples.
