"Foreign Ministry": The Continuation of Crimes of Genocide, Annexation, and Starvation Calls for an International Assessment of Efforts Made
SadaNews - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates emphasized that the ongoing commission of massacres by the occupation, the use of starvation as a weapon in its aggression against our people, and the official Israeli boasting about plans for displacement and the annexation of the occupied West Bank should compel countries, the United Nations, and the Security Council to assess the results of their decisions, efforts made, working methods, and their declared positions regarding halting the crimes of genocide, displacement, and annexation.
The ministry added in a statement that what is happening necessitates the formulation of practical solutions to put an end to the Israeli government's contempt for international consensus rejecting those crimes, and the disregard for all laws, principles, norms, and the international moral system.
The ministry reiterated that the actions of the occupation and its leadership directly threaten international peace and security and are causing a rapid erosion of the credibility of international legitimacy institutions, pushing towards replacing them with the law of the jungle, devoid of any laws or any form of accountability.
In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sees that utilizing Chapter VII of the UN Charter and imposing more international sanctions on the colonial settler system of occupation, and linking the level of relations countries maintain with the occupying state to its commitment to international law and international legitimacy decisions play a crucial role in ending this prolonged occupation, along with the real humanitarian disaster it causes in the Gaza Strip, which has become a global catastrophe in every sense of the word.
It continued: Additionally, the haste of countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to take this step immediately increases the likelihood of implementing the principle of the two-state solution.
