New York Times: America Expands Visa Restrictions on Palestinians
SadaNews: The New York Times reported that the United States has suspended visa approvals for nearly all holders of Palestinian passports.
The newspaper cited unnamed officials indicating that the restrictions go beyond what the Trump administration announced earlier for those coming from Gaza, as they will prevent Palestinians from traveling to the United States for medical treatment, enrolling in universities, and for business trips.
The U.S. State Department announced two weeks ago that it would halt all visitor visas for individuals coming from Gaza until a "comprehensive and thorough" review is conducted, a step condemned by pro-Palestinian groups.
With U.S. support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, which includes killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, disregarding all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to cease its actions.
