SadaNews - Israel attempted to assassinate the military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, in an airstrike that targeted a residential building in the Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza City, resulting in several martyrs and injured individuals on Saturday evening; according to Israeli reports.
Channel 12 reported that security sources said, "There is optimism, and we cautiously assess that the direction is positive."
Israeli Broadcasting Corporation "Kan 11" stated that security agencies continue to examine the results of the airstrike, quoting an official who said that "it looks good."
The Israeli military, in a joint statement with the Shin Bet security service following the airstrike, stated that it attacked a "central" figure in Hamas in the city of Gaza in the northern sector.
It claimed that prior to the airstrike, it took several steps to minimize the likelihood of civilian casualties, including the use of precision ammunition, aerial reconnaissance, and other intelligence information.
