Coffins and Pictures of Martyr and Starving Children in Event in Front of the Main Train Station in Helsingborg
SadaNews - On Friday, the Friends of Palestine group organized its weekly event in front of the central train station in the Swedish city of Helsingborg to express their ongoing rejection of the war, genocide, and famine faced by the residents of the Gaza Strip.
The event featured a symbolic representation of the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip; a large Palestinian flag was placed on the ground, covered with a series of coffins of different sizes symbolizing martyrs of various ages, while the outer border of the flag was surrounded by poignant images of martyr and injured children, alongside pictures of children suffering from hunger and blockade.
Participants sat on benches and raised placards bearing images of the victims and messages calling for an end to the war and the lifting of the siege, emphasizing that the tragedy of Gaza can no longer bear the silence of the international community.
This weekly vigil is part of a series of periodic events organized by the "Friends of Palestine" group in Helsingborg and several cities in Sweden and Europe, aimed at keeping the issue of Gaza present in the public sphere and pressuring to stop the crimes against civilians.
