Occupation Begins to Open a Settlement Road in Hizma Northeast of Jerusalem
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces began opening a settlement road at the expense of citizens' lands in the town of Hizma northeast of Jerusalem this morning, Sunday, amid extensive protection and presence of occupation forces.
Local sources in the town reported that a number of settlers, under the protection of the occupation army, attacked citizens.
The Jerusalem Governorate clarified that the ongoing works are in implementation of a decision by the occupation authorities issued on June 25, 2025, which aims to seize the road adjacent to Wadi Azriq in the town, starting from the main road leading to the town of Jaba and extending to the Aqabat area, in addition to areas of neighboring lands, until December 31, 2027.
It emphasized that this crime aims to change the features of the region and impose new Judaizing realities.
It added that the ruling Israeli right continues to accelerate the pace of land seizure, deepen colonialism, and practice the most heinous forms of ethnic cleansing against Palestinian citizens in Jerusalem and all areas classified as (C), in blatant defiance of relevant United Nations resolutions, especially Resolution 2334, with the aim of making fundamental changes to the historical, political, legal, and demographic reality of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state, and undermining the two-state solution.
