Fatah Movement Nominates Dr. Salah al-Hishlamoun for the Position of Head of Physicians in the Union Elections on August 29, 2025

SadaNews - The Fatah Movement issued a statement today, Saturday, nominating the movement's candidate for the position of head of physicians in the elections scheduled for the end of this month for the Physicians' Union in Palestine.

The text of the statement as received from the source:

"As you prepare for the electoral entitlement of the Physicians’ Union on the twenty-ninth of this month, at a time when every Palestinian is reviewing themselves, burdened with pain, bitterness of injustice, and aggression... While the confused question the purpose and fate in a time fraught with disappointment that drives one to despair, and despite the death that surrounds Gaza with killing, starvation, and displacement, and the drums of war beaten by the occupation in the West Bank against the backdrop of a stifling siege, and barbaric crimes and practices, and despite a heavy political reality, "Fatah" knocks on the doors of hope and steadfastness, energizing the spirit and the immortal Palestinian soul, tirelessly and without retreat, believing in the inevitability of victory, and with certainty carried by the consciences of generations that freedom is coming, no matter how long the time of occupation lasts."

The fierce campaign waged by the occupation to destroy the national identity and Palestinian existence in all its manifestations and achievements, which our people bravely confront in an inspiring manner, makes the professional union elections a pivotal struggle that transcends the importance of the voting results into a national duty that expresses the resilience of the Palestinian identity, the rallying around the Palestine Liberation Organization, and the protection of the national project, refusing any alternatives or plans aimed at undermining the dignity of our people and their aspirations to seize Palestinian sovereignty and realize independence.

Because "Fatah" recognizes the extent of the burdens placed on physicians in performing their national duty, it prioritizes the development of union work methods and tools to achieve tangible results in enhancing their struggle role, uniting their ranks and positions regarding national and humanitarian issues, and meeting their needs while preserving their dignity and rights in the public, private, and civil sectors, therefore the movement presents a selection of its finest members to run for the elections, among them its candidate for the head of the union, Dr. Salah al-Hishlamoun, alongside capable men and women who can elevate the union and implement the movement’s program and vision with efficiency and competence.

"Fatah" calls upon you for widespread participation in the elections and to rally around its choices and candidates, with your known awareness and cherished trust, to elevate the union to a distinguished level of national partnership and responsible national-union struggle, which responds to the requirements of the phase, preserves your rights and union gains, fulfills your just demands, and solidifies your presence in the conscience of our people and the conscience of the entire world.
