SadaNews - French media reported, citing sources from local administration in southern France, that a large fire is raging in one of the areas.
Reports indicate that over 2400 hectares of land and crops have been burned as a result of the fire that broke out in Ribat.
The "BFM TV" channel quoted Colonel Alexandre Jossar, who is part of the civil defense authority, stating that 4500 hectares have been affected by the fire that erupted in Ribat.
According to Jossar, the flames spread at an unusual speed, and it is unlikely that the fire will be extinguished by evening.
More than 1000 firefighters are battling the blaze, which has been fueled by strong winds.
