Sisi: Claims of Our Participation in the Siege of Gaza are 'Bankruptcy'.. and Hussein Sheikh Supports His Statements

SadaNews - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi stated that the ongoing war in Gaza is no longer about achieving political goals or releasing hostages, but has become "a war of starvation, genocide, and the elimination of the Palestinian cause."

During official statements made today, Sisi emphasized that history "will hold many countries accountable and put them on trial regarding their positions on this war," stressing that he reiterates his call to the world, especially European countries and the American president, for immediate intervention to stop the fire and provide urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The Egyptian president addressed the issue of the Rafah crossing, stating: "We did not close the crossing, but it has been destroyed four times since the war started, and we have repaired it," denying the validity of accusations that suggest Egypt is participating in the siege of the sector, describing them as "bankrupt claims."

Sisi clarified that Egypt has more than 5,000 aid trucks ready to enter Gaza, but they face obstacles due to Israel's control over the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing. He reiterated his country's readiness to provide aid at any time, but stressed that Egypt is "not prepared to receive or displace Palestinians from Gaza."

For his part, Palestinian Vice President Hussein Sheikh stated that President Abdel Fattah Sisi's firm rejection of the displacement of the Palestinian people and his view of what is happening in Gaza as a continuation of genocide is a cry to the international community to bear its moral and humanitarian responsibilities to protect the Palestinian people from crimes committed against them by Israel.

He noted that the recent Israeli threat to occupy the whole of Gaza warns of further massacres that the occupying army may commit.
