
Arrival of Russian Editors' Plane Freed from Ukrainian Captivity in Moscow
SadaNews - A Russian "Il-76 MD" military plane, carrying Russian soldiers who were freed from Ukrainian captivity, landed at an airport in the Moscow region early Thursday morning.
The Russian Ministry of Defense released footage documenting the plane's arrival.
On Wednesday evening, the Russian Defense Ministry announced in a statement the recovery of a group of Russian soldiers from territories under the authority of Kyiv, who were released in accordance with the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached during the Istanbul negotiations on June 2.
The statement added that a group of Ukrainian prisoners of war was also released.
The statement noted that all the freed Russian soldiers would undergo treatment and rehabilitation in medical facilities affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
At the conclusion of the third round of Istanbul negotiations between Russia and Ukraine on Wednesday, Russian delegation head Vladimir Medinsky stated that Moscow and Kyiv had agreed on a new prisoner exchange in the near future, which would include at least 1,200 prisoners of war from each side.
