The Death of Singer Mohamed Awad

SadaNews - Popular singer Mohamed Awad passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Thursday morning.

According to local newspapers, Mohamed Awad was transported to a hospital in Ismailia after feeling chest pain on Wednesday evening, but he passed away in the early hours of today after attempts to resuscitate him failed.

The head of the Musicians' Syndicate, artist Mustafa Kamel, wrote on his Facebook page: "Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return... May God have mercy on you, my beloved, forgive you, and pardon you... You were with me at the funeral two days ago and you told me: I am thankful to God, I am feeling better."

Sudden Heart Attack

The death of singer Mohamed Awad came as a result of a sudden heart attack that claimed his life immediately, just days after appearing at the funeral of his friend and fellow popular singer Ahmed Amer.

Mohamed Sobhi, a member of the Musicians' Syndicate and a friend of the late Mohamed Awad, announced the cause of death, confirming that he passed away due to a sudden heart attack caused by weakening of the heart muscle, which was the same cause that led to the death of popular singer Ahmed Amer days earlier.

Several stars of the popular music scene in Egypt have mourned the deceased artist.
