Settlers Attack House and Destroy Its Contents in Arab al-Malihāt Village
SadaNews - A group of settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, stormed and vandalized the home of citizen Suleiman Mousa in the village of Arab al-Malihāt, northwest of Jericho, early this Thursday morning, forcing him and his family to leave their home forcibly.
The general supervisor of the Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, Hassan Malihat, stated that settlers invaded the area around the house, breaking doors and windows and damaging furniture and personal belongings, while the occupation forces watched from the sidelines, providing them with full protection.
Malihat added that the attack came after a series of continuous threats and pressures, which compelled citizen Suleiman Mousa to leave his home forcibly in order to preserve his and his family’s safety.
He considered that what happened constitutes a blatant violation of international laws, particularly Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits forcible displacement, holding the occupation authorities fully responsible for this crime.
