SadaNews - The Council of Ministers, in its weekly session held today, Wednesday, discussed the repercussions of the difficult field and economic reality that Palestinians are experiencing, amidst the continued aggression of the occupation and the escalating attacks by settlers, alongside the ongoing detention of tax revenues and the imposition of a suffocating economic blockade that threatens the ability of national institutions to perform their basic functions, increasing the living pressures on public sector employees and other segments of society.

The Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, affirmed that "despite the magnitude of the challenges, the efforts of the presidency and the government continue to stop the aggression against our people and secure the urgent release of tax revenues in cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries, in order to alleviate the economic crisis and to protect the steadfastness of our national institutions," stressing that "our resolve will not waver, and we will continue to work to restore our people's political and economic rights."

He also called for intensifying international efforts to rescue the families in the Gaza Strip and exerting pressure through all possible means on the occupying government to stop the daily killings, starvation, and displacement that two million Palestinians in the Strip are subjected to, and to ensure the delivery of aid in humanitarian ways and with the involvement of international organizations, to avoid the daily killings of those waiting for assistance, which have resulted in more than 600 martyrs and thousands of injured since the resumption of the aggression.

The system was referred to government departments and various authorities for study and opinion, in parallel with the consultations carried out by the Electricity Sector Regulatory Council and the Energy Authority with various partners.
