Netanyahu Threatens Hamas as the Group Discusses Developments in Mediator Efforts
SadaNews Translation - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened on Wednesday evening to uproot Hamas from its roots.
Netanyahu was visiting some areas near the Gaza Strip accompanied by Israeli Energy Minister Cohen.
Netanyahu stated, as translated by SadaNews, "We will eliminate Hamas to the core and there will be no more Hamas; we will achieve the goals of the war."
He added, "We will free all our captives and we will eradicate Hamas from its roots; the era of Hamastan is over."
In a related context, Hamas stated that mediators are making intensive efforts to bridge the gap between the parties and reach a framework agreement to start a serious round of negotiations.
It added in a statement: "We are dealing with a high level of responsibility and conducting national consultations to discuss the proposals we have received from our mediator brothers in order to reach an agreement that ensures the end of aggression, the realization of withdrawal, and urgently provides relief to our people in the Gaza Strip."
