Death of an Israeli soldier and the injury of 4 others in a complex operation by Saraya al-Quds in Gaza

SadaNews - Israeli media reported the occurrence of a "serious security incident," resulting in the death of a soldier and injuries to others in the Gaza Strip, while Saraya al-Quds announced that it carried out a complex operation targeting dozens of soldiers in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood.

Israeli websites stated that a soldier from the "Egoz" unit was killed in a sniping incident in the sector.

Israeli media also reported that 4 soldiers were seriously injured in a blast from an explosive device targeting a tank in the Gaza Strip.

According to Israeli news websites, two injured soldiers were transported to Asuta Hospital in Ashdod due to the battles in Gaza.

Earlier on Wednesday, Al-Aqsa TV quoted press sources stating that the Israeli army evacuated several of its wounded soldiers due to a security incident east of Gaza City.

This news of the new operation by the Palestinian resistance comes while the eastern areas of Gaza City, including the Shuja'iyya and Tuffah neighborhoods, are under heavy Israeli aerial and artillery bombardment.

Complex Operation

Meanwhile, a field commander in Saraya al-Quds, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, stated that the Saraya carried out a complex operation on Wednesday targeting dozens of soldiers and a convoy of occupation vehicles in the eastern outskirts of the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in Gaza City.

The commander added that the operation began with the detonation of a minefield, which forced soldiers and officers to enter the neighboring houses, indicating that fighters targeted the forces that fortified inside the houses with a guided missile followed by a "TPG" anti-fortification grenade.

He continued that the Saraya fighters ambushed the targeted forces and engaged them at close range with light and medium weapons, resulting in casualties among the targeted crews, officers, and soldiers.

Saraya al-Quds also announced that it controlled an Israeli reconnaissance drone while it was carrying out intelligence tasks in Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip.

Recently, there has been a surge in operations by the Palestinian resistance against the invading occupation forces in Khan Younis and other areas in the Gaza Strip.

Last month, at least 21 soldiers were killed as a result of these resistance operations.
