Settlers Attack Citizens' Homes in Susiya South of Hebron
SadaNews - Armed settlers attacked citizens' homes today, Wednesday, in the village of Susiya in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron.
The head of the Susiya village council, Jihad al-Nawajaa, told "Wafa" that a group of armed settlers has been besieging the village for several days and attacked the homes of citizens with stones for the second day in a row.
He added that the residents of the village live under constant threat from the settlers and have been forced to leave their jobs and remain in the village to protect their families and properties.
Recently, the gatherings and villages in Masafer Yatta have witnessed an ongoing and significant escalation in attacks by settlers, including gunfire, destruction and damage to fields and crops, as well as the burning of homes and theft of livestock, among other abuses. This violence comes as part of a policy of forced displacement being practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities against the local population in the area.
