SadaNews - Al-Quds Bank has achieved a new strategic milestone by obtaining the global ISO 27001 certification in the field of information security. This step reflects its steadfast commitment to applying the highest standards of governance, protecting information assets, enhancing customer confidence, and adhering to the best international practices.
This achievement follows the implementation of a comprehensive project that began in the third quarter of 2025, where the bank worked on developing an advanced information security management system, in accordance with the requirements of the Palestinian Monetary Authority and in line with the rapid developments in the fields of cybersecurity and digital transformation.
The project was implemented through collaborative efforts between the Risk Department, the Technological Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Department, and the Project Management Department, as part of the bank's vision to enhance its institutional readiness and improve the efficiency of its systems in data protection and ensuring business continuity according to the highest global standards. This was done in cooperation with CyStack, a company specializing in cybersecurity solutions and information security management, which played a crucial role in supporting the bank to meet the requirements of the ISO 27001 standard and enhance the readiness of its security systems in line with the best international practices.
In this context, the CEO of Al-Quds Bank stated: "The achievement of ISO 27001 certification represents a strategic milestone in our journey towards secure digital transformation, reflecting our commitment to applying the highest standards of information security and protecting our customers' data. The bank's acquisition of ISO 27001 certification confirms the maturity of its security infrastructure and its capability to apply the highest global standards in data protection and risk management."
The ISO 27001 certification is a leading international standard for information security management, focusing on data protection, risk management, and the application of best practices to ensure the security and integrity of information, thereby enhancing the reliability of banking services and reducing operational and technical risks.
This achievement confirms Al-Quds Bank's direction towards continuing to invest in developing its technological infrastructure and enhancing its capabilities in the field of cybersecurity, ensuring the provision of safe and reliable banking services, and strengthening its position as a leading banking institution that adopts innovation while maintaining the highest levels of security in its work environment and services.
