The National Economy Signs Implementation Agreement with GIZ to Enhance Financial Inclusion and Support the Transition to a Green Economy Until 2027

SadaNews - With the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Ministry of National Economy signed a new implementation agreement with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) as part of the ongoing strategic partnership between the two sides until May 2027, reflecting the depth of bilateral relations and the shared commitment to support sustainable development pathways in Palestine.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Mr. Alexander Soliga, Director of the GIZ Office, Mr. Marcel Vinhoven, Head of the Employment and Sustainable Resource Access program group, and Ms. Polina Kerbs, Director of the AFIN II Project, where both parties emphasized the importance of this step as a pivotal moment in the path of joint cooperation.

Minister of National Economy, Mohammed Al-Amour, stated, "The signing of this agreement represents a new strategic step towards enhancing financial inclusion and expanding access to financing for micro, small, and medium enterprises, contributing to stimulating economic growth and creating job opportunities.

It also reflects our shared commitment with our partners in the German government to support the transition to a resilient and competitive green economy capable of confronting challenges and achieving sustainable development."

The agreement aims to develop innovative and sustainable financing tools that meet the needs of micro, small, and medium enterprises, enabling them to access comprehensive financial services at affordable costs due to their central role in enhancing the resilience of the national economy and achieving inclusive growth.
The ministry affirmed its aspiration in the upcoming phase to expand the scope of cooperation to include quality programs focusing on building institutional capacities, accelerating digital transformation, and designing advanced initiatives to enhance access to financing, contributing to increasing the competitiveness of the national economy and reinforcing the foundations of sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the agreement, the ministry expressed its sincere appreciation to its partners in the German government and the German Agency for International Cooperation, and to all national partners, valuing their ongoing commitment and support to achieve common developmental goals.
