Arab Bank Signs Cooperation Agreement with the Women's Business Forum to Support Women's Empowerment Programs

SadaNews - The Arab Bank announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Women's Business Forum, aimed at supporting and developing sustainable women-led projects, as part of the bank's ongoing commitment to empowering women and enhancing their active contribution to economic and social development. This collaboration embodies this commitment through supporting initiatives that contribute to building the capacities of women entrepreneurs, providing a supportive business environment that promotes the sustainability of their projects, and supporting the role of women as key partners in driving economic growth. 

Under this agreement, the Arab Bank will provide financial and technical support to contribute to the development of 30 pioneering projects led by women entrepreneurs, in addition to offering specialized training programs and consultations in the fields of entrepreneurship and financial management. This aims to enhance the leadership and management skills of women, empowering them to develop their projects according to the best professional practices, ensuring their growth and sustainability. 

Commenting on the agreement, Dr. Jamal Hourani, Director of the Palestine Area at Arab Bank, confirmed that this collaboration reflects the bank's vision in empowering women and contributing to enhancing their role in economic activity. He pointed out that supporting entrepreneurial initiatives led by women opens wider horizons for their participation in various economic sectors, which directly contributes to creating new job opportunities and enhancing economic and social stability.

For her part, Engineer Sherin Salama, Chairwoman of the Women's Business Forum, expressed her happiness at collaborating with the Arab Bank, affirming the forum's commitment to working with the private sector to provide all necessary resources and expertise to support women and empower them to lead successful projects that contribute to economic and social development. She emphasized the importance of joint initiatives in raising the level of women's participation in economic activity and their vital role in achieving sustainable development and building a more inclusive and equitable society.

It is noteworthy that the Arab Bank adopts a comprehensive and integrated strategy in the field of sustainability and social responsibility, driven by its commitment to achieving a tangible positive impact on both the economic and social levels, in addition to its commitment to sustainable environmental practices. The "Together" social responsibility program embodies this direction by supporting a range of diverse initiatives and activities that contribute to serving vital sectors, including education, health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, women empowerment, and orphan care, through joint efforts with local community institutions.
