The Palestinian Insurance Companies Union Meets with the Minister of Transportation and Communications to Discuss Common Issues and Enhance Traffic Safety
SadaNews - Minister of Transportation and Communications Dr. Mohamed Al-Ahmad met with a delegation from the Palestinian Insurance Companies Union headed by the Union’s Chairman Anwar Al-Shanti. The delegation included board members: Nihad Al-Assad, Mohammed Al-Rimawi, Riad Al-Atrash, Ayman Al-Sabah, Abdul Hakim Al-Qasim, and the Union's Secretary-General Kaid Maari. The meeting was attended by the Assistant Minister of Transportation and Communications Mr. Mohamed Hamdan and a team of representatives from the relevant public departments in the ministry.
During the meeting, the Union Chairman reviewed the current state of the insurance sector and the circumstances it faces, along with the accompanying risks and challenges. He emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination with official entities, which would reflect positively on the stability of the sector and protect the rights of various parties.
For his part, the minister stressed the necessity of strengthening institutional partnership and exchanging expertise to ensure the integration of roles between the ministry and the union in serving the public interest.
The two parties also discussed prospects for cooperation in improving traffic infrastructure and developing traffic signboards to help reduce accidents, as well as collaborating to find practical solutions to the challenges faced by the insurance sector in partnership with the ministry, the Capital Market Authority, and all partners.
They also discussed ways to work on common issues and develop the work environment on various procedural, policy, and legislative levels in cooperation with competent authorities with the aim of reaching a safer traffic environment.
