Palestinian Islamic Bank and the Authority for Energy and Natural Resources Discuss Strengthening Joint Cooperation

SadaNews - The head of the Authority for Energy and Natural Resources, Engineer Ayman Ismail, discussed with the Director General of the Palestinian Islamic Bank, Dr. Imad Al-Saadi, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides to support achieving sustainable development goals and to encourage citizens and institutions towards renewable energy.

During the meeting held at the Authority for Energy in Ramallah, Engineer Ismail reviewed the key projects and efforts being implemented by the Authority for Energy and Natural Resources to promote the use of renewable energy, the latest of which is the solar energy project for households and small and medium-sized enterprises, confirming the promotion of renewable energy use at the national level.

For his part, Dr. Imad Al-Saadi emphasized the Palestinian Islamic Bank's keenness to strengthen cooperation with the Authority for Energy in this regard, based on the bank's commitment to supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals, of which the use of renewable energy is one of its main pillars.

Al-Saadi added: "This collaboration comes in harmony with our shared vision to support the transition to renewable energy, enabling citizens to implement solar energy projects, which contributes to reducing economic burdens and enhancing environmental sustainability. We also affirm our commitment to supporting national initiatives in this regard and working to provide innovative financing solutions and effective partnerships that contribute to achieving sustainable development and serving the community".

The meeting was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Authority for Energy, Reem Karzon, Director of Financial Affairs, Hussam Katana, and Director of Project Management Unit, Abdul Hadi Barakat. From the bank's side, the meeting included the Director of Financing and Grants Department, Abdul Raouf Al-Alauna, Director of Administrative Affairs Department, Louay Jaradat, and Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Marar.
