Palestinian Investment Fund Provides Support to Struggling Families Benefiting from SOS Children's Villages with Income-Generating Projects

SadaNews - As part of the Palestinian Investment Fund's efforts in the field of social responsibility, and to enhance initiatives that contribute to empowering the most needy families, the fund has provided support to SOS Children's Villages in southern West Bank for a number of families experiencing difficult economic conditions. This support aims to create income-generating projects led by women who are breadwinners, thereby enhancing the role of women in supporting their families and providing children with a more stable and secure environment.

The beneficiary families were selected after a study conducted by the family strengthening program in SOS Children's Villages, which included an assessment of income levels, social conditions, and the ability to implement a sustainable economic project. This support is expected to contribute to improving the living standards of the families and enhancing their economic resilience, alongside its positive impact on children's health, education, and daily quality of life.

In this context, Ghada Harzallah, the national director of SOS Children's Villages Palestine, expressed during a visit by a delegation from the organization to the Palestinian Investment Fund: "We express our sincere appreciation to the fund for this generous cooperation and vital support that gives families a real opportunity to build a more stable future. This investment in struggling families reflects a genuine commitment to supporting the most in need, and it contributes significantly to improving the lives of the children we serve."

For her part, Rania Marai, the director of institutional and community affairs at the Palestinian Investment Fund, stated: "This support is in line with the fund's strategy aimed at empowering various segments of Palestinian society, especially the least fortunate. The fund has provided its support this year to around 100 community institutions distributed across all governorates of the homeland, including Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. The fund is keen, through its social responsibility program, to support various community initiatives, especially those implemented by SOS Children's Villages," in addition to supporting initiatives related to empowering women economically.

SOS Children's Villages Palestine appreciates this support, which enhances the continuity of joint efforts to empower families and paves the way for launching more impactful initiatives to serve children and families in Palestinian society.
