National Bank Launches Apple Pay Service for Its Customers
SadaNews - In line with its ongoing commitment to providing an advanced banking experience for its clients, the National Bank today announced the launch of the Apple Pay service, one of the latest digital payment solutions that allows customers to make payments easily and practically, with the highest security standards without the need to carry a card.
The Apple Pay service offers National Bank customers using devices running Apple's IOS operating systems, such as iPhones, Apple Watch, and iPads, the option to pay for their purchases through these devices in a contactless manner without the need to carry a card. The service relies on advanced security technologies, where card data is not stored on the device or Apple servers; instead, a secure digital account number (Token) is used to ensure the highest levels of security for users.
Commenting on this, the CEO of the National Bank, Salama Khalil, stated that the launch of the service comes as a continuation of the bank's trend to develop its electronic payment system according to the highest standards reached by global financial technology, ensuring security. Additionally, it provides financial solutions that meet customer needs by offering modern and practical payment options, promoting the shift towards electronic payments, and reducing reliance on cash.
National Bank customers can easily activate the service by adding their bank-issued cards to the Apple Wallet app on IOS devices and then start using it to pay for their purchases at point of sale, as well as for payments within apps and websites.
