Housing Bank Sponsors a Youth Pathway on the Occasion of World Volunteer Day
SadaNews - On the occasion of World Volunteer Day, the Housing Bank sponsored a tourism pathway organized by the Palestinian Association for Development and Community Development "Ataa," which brought together more than 100 young men and women from universities and high schools in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorates and Salfit governorate towards Bethlehem, with the aim of promoting a culture of volunteerism and instilling values of giving and community initiative among the youth.
The activity was organized under the title "Every Contribution Makes a Difference" in collaboration with the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bethlehem Municipality, and Battir Municipality, and in coordination with the Tourism Sector Regulation Council in Bethlehem governorate. This initiative aims to encourage young people to actively participate in community service, highlight their leadership role in bringing about positive change, enhance the spirit of cooperation and social solidarity among the people of different governorates, and create a space for networking and exchanging experiences among volunteers, motivating them to launch future volunteer initiatives.
For his part, Osama Harzallah, the Regional Director of the Housing Bank, affirmed that the bank's sponsorship of this event aligns with its strategy to enhance its developmental role by supporting volunteer activities that contribute to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and local communities. He added that the bank continues its efforts in adopting and sponsoring quality projects that contribute to strengthening the spirit of volunteer work and translate the slogan "Every Contribution Makes a Difference" into reality.
The pathway included visits to a number of official and community institutions in Bethlehem, along with organizing tours in some tourist and archaeological areas, which contributed to enhancing the connection to national identity and introducing the cultural heritage of the city.
