The Palestinian General Union of Insurance Companies Participates in Launching the Winter Inspection Campaign

SadaNews - The Palestinian General Union of Insurance Companies, with the attendance of several member insurance companies, participated today, Monday, 04/11/2024, in launching the winter inspection campaign organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications in partnership with the Palestinian National Police represented by the Traffic Department. The campaign was launched simultaneously in several governorates (Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Nablus, Hebron, and the outskirts of Jerusalem) to encourage citizens to check the safety of their vehicles, which provides safety and security on the road. For his part, the Secretary-General of the Union, Kaid Ma'ari, stated that this campaign has become an annual tradition accomplished in partnership with the police, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and the private sector, especially insurance companies operating in Palestine, aimed at enhancing traffic safety. Ma'ari emphasized that traffic awareness is a moral and national duty that the Union is committed to maintaining.

During the event, vehicles that successfully passed the inspection were marked with a special tag, and symbolic gifts were distributed to drivers adhering to safety standards, in a step aimed at promoting a culture of compliance and preventive inspection.

Moreover, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Mohamed Hamdan, confirmed that the campaign comes as part of the ongoing efforts exerted by the Ministry in collaboration with partners to enhance road safety and reduce traffic accidents during the winter season, noting that the Ministry continues to implement its awareness and regulatory programs to achieve the highest safety standards on Palestinian roads.
