Generally, price levels are experiencing sharp fluctuations between increases and decreases in the Gaza Strip, linked to developments in Israeli aggression and the movement of trade crossings, rather than resulting from changes resulting from market dynamics. Therefore, their impact is significant on the overall price index of the Palestinian territories. These data must be taken into consideration when interpreting the cost of living index, and there should be a focus on changes in living costs at the regional level to understand the reality of changes in it. Given the specificity of this exceptional phase, the average overall price index for the Palestinian territories cannot be used to represent the average changes across different regions due to the sharp regional variation in data, and its significant impact from price changes in the Gaza Strip.

Price levels are still higher than those in September of the previous year. When comparing prices in September 2025 with September 2024, the data indicates an increase in the consumer price index in Palestine by 17.65% (with 38.29% in the Gaza Strip, and 0.93% in Jerusalem J1*, while the index decreased by 2.48% in the West Bank**).
